What are the Sanda Nationals

The Sanda Nationals are the biggest Sanda Kickboxing event of the year. It’s where the best fighters from around the country come to compete. Winning your category doesn’t just mean you’re a national champ, it also opens the door to international events, like next year’s European Sanda Championships. So yeah, it’s a pretty big deal!

The Team We Took

This year, we took three athletes to the Nationals, each one a defending champion from 2024. Two competed in the senior (18–40) Light Sanda division, one male and one female, while our third athlete fought in the Youth Full Contact Sanda (15–17). Everyone was fired up and ready to defend their titles.

Our Results

We had an incredible showing, with each of our athletes putting the full skillset of Sanda Kickboxing on display, combining powerful striking with seamless throws and wrestling.

🥇 Harriet – Senior Light Sanda – Under 70kg – Gold
🥇 Matthew – Junior Full Contact – Under 65kg – Gold

Every fighter represented the club with skill and confidence, showing exactly what Sanda is all about.

What’s Next for the Team

Our goal is simple: to create international champions. That means all of our athletes will need to compete on the world stage to achieve their full potential.

Next up is the Swedish Open in December 2025, followed by the European Championships in 2026, two major milestones that bring exciting opportunities for our team. We're proud to stand behind our athletes and support them every step of the way.
