  • Sanda Kickboxing (also known as Sanshou and Chinese Kickboxing) is a style of kickboxing that combines wrestling with kickboxing. It is the only combat sport to come out of China and has taken traditional Chinese wrestling systems and has combined them with modern kickboxing to bring it into the modern combat sport world.

  • There are many benefits to training a highly dynamic and fast paced sport such as Sanda Kickboxing. The sport is both mentally and physically challenging and will push you to new heights as well as having the joy of learning a new skill. But don’t be daunted if you don’t feel like you are not fit enough to join in- our supportive community will be there every step of the way.

  • Absolutely! We all started somewhere and we would be excited to help get you started on your kickboxing journey. We have specific classes designed for beginners so you can learn the skills of Sanda Kickboxing at your own pace. See you in class.

  • For your trial class you will not need to bring any equipment. We would ask that you wear clothing that is appropriate for kickboxing such as shorts and a t-shirt. You will also need to remove any jewellery before class starts. We would recommend bringing a water bottle so you can stay hydrated throughout the class and also recommend bringing a spare t-shirt so you can get home comfortably.

  • We run many different classes for different ages and physical abilities. We have kids and junior kickboxing classes for ages 5 to 15 years old. Adult beginners classes for ages 16 plus, adult self defence classes for those looking to be able to defend themselves and Tai Chi classes for people looking for gentler forms of exercise.

    Our style of kickboxing is very intensive so if you have any underlying health conditions we would recommend talking to your doctor before attending class.

This is the same as any form of exercise, but what makes Sanda Kickboxing unique is that you cannot practice the sport by itself.
